When different citrus cultivars coexist in the same orchard, their spatial distribution should allow the application of independent cultivation practices to each one of them.
It is recommended to use a break crop (preferably grass or winter cereal) before re-planting to homogenize the soil and possibly control specific pests, diseases and perennial weeds.Elimination of sources of disease inoculum (i.e. roots of old plants) is recommended before replanting.
