The prevention and/or suppression of key pests and diseases must be supported by:
- See 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8.
- No carrot dumps (residues) in the field where disease or soil-borne problems exist (inoculum risk). Destroy infected material or incorporate in field of origin.
- Psila rosae: Late seeding for the second crop cycle is recommended in order to prevent early infestation by the second generation in July and maximise the distance from previous carrot fields.
