The programme will cover the following thematic blocks:
- New tools for the Integrated Production toolbox and the food system
- Environmental risks and benefits of biotechnological applications in agriculture
- Regulatory challenges of biotechnological applications in agriculture
- Interface between modern biotechnology and society and economy
We will discuss a broad range of biotechnological applications, such as classical gene technology, genome editing, genetic control including gene drives, RNAi, biologicals, and synthetic biology. We also anticipate presentations on risk communication, open data, integrated pest management, and agroecology.
