IOBC-WPRS Working Group “Integrated Control in Oilseed Crops, ICOC”

The group exchanges experiences and maintains a close collaboration with experts in crop protection and the production of oilseed crops. It will gather together scientists carrying out research that contributes to the development of strategies to improve implementation of integrated control for sustainable low-input oilseed rape production systems that minimize pesticide usage.

Expected presentations and exchanges will include: occurrence and distribution of pests and diseases, monitoring, forecasting, establishment of damage thresholds, pathology, genetics and mechanisms of plant resistance, plant-pest interactions, biofungicides, beneficial micro-organisms, natural enemies (predators & parasitoids), pollinators, habitat management, possible pest control by entomopathogenic fungi and on pheromones, agronomical methods – all contributing to integrated control strategies…

The IOBC-ICOC meeting will be followed by the

“International Clubroot Workshop (ICW)”
May 19th, 2022

This online workshop brings together a global network of leading researchers who are focused on clubroot disease of Brassicaceae and its causative organism, Plasmodiophora brassicae. Contributions will address recent research on the P. brassicae-Brassicaceae interaction as well as different approaches on clubroot management. Resistant cultivars have continued to be the most effective tool for clubroot management; however, resistance breakdown is regularly observed and highlights the need for additional control options based on a better understanding of this pathosystem.
