Dr. Ismail Döker is a Full Professor at Çukurova University, Türkiye, specializing in biological control and integrated pest management (IPM) strategies using phytoseiid mites. He earned his undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD degrees at Çukurova University and completed a post-doctorate at the University of Florida, Department of Entomology and Nematology. His research focuses on the taxonomy of Phytoseiidae and on the biological and integrated control of pest mites, including assessing the resistance of pest mite species to pesticides and evaluating the compatibility of pesticides with phytoseiid predatory mites. He teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses on biological control, IPM, and applied entomology/acarology. He has contributed as a principal investigator or collaborator to numerous national and international research projects. He has collaborated with colleagues from more than 25 countries, resulting in over 150 papers published in SCI-expanded journals.

Dr. Döker joined IOBC-WPRS as a member of the Working Group “Integrated Control of Plant-Feeding Mites” and was elected convenor in 2025 during the 9th meeting held in İzmir, Türkiye.
