A biocontrol formulation increases defense enzyme activities and promotes growth in vine seedlings and in shoots from vine canes of cvs Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay

Abstract: Vine seedlings and cane shoots from Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay cvs. induced phenylalanine ammonia-lyase, b-1,4-chitinases and b-1,3-glucanases in response to a biocontrol formulation containing as the active ingredient a mixture of Trichoderma harzianum and Clonostachys rosea. In addition, a growth promotion effect was observed. Similar results were obtained in sprouts of vine canes of the same cvs.
