Abstract: Light can influence biological pest control in multiple direct and indirect ways. In
this article I describe the factors that determine the light environment within greenhouses and the light conditions experienced arthropods residing in the crop, as well as the ways in which light and visual information are perceived by arthropods and can affect their physiology.
