Abstract: Cabbage root fly (Delia radicum) is the number one pest in early cauliflower (Brassica oleracea convar. botrytis var. botrytis) in Belgium. Plants wilt and die as their roots are damaged by the larvae. An integrated pest control is possible but must occur in a proper way. This article reports on the use of the organic product Tracer (SC, 480 g/l spinosad) as drench application on the seedbox and important success factors to control cabbage root fly in cauliflower in practice.
