Abstract: Contact and fumigant toxicity and repellency of the essential oils of Eucalyptus
camaldulensis, Cymbopogon citratus, and Ocimum gratissimum were tested against the adult maize weevil, Sitophilus zeamais (Motschulsky) in the laboratory at 25 °C and 60-65 % R H. Preliminary results showed that E. camaldulensis essential oil exhibited the highest fumigant and contact toxicity and repellency with 81 %, and 96.25 % mortality, and 90 % repellency, respectively.
