Elicitors of Leptosphaeria maculans inducing resistence to blackleg in oil seed rape

Abstract: Compounds produced by L. maculans into various cultivation media were tested fortheir ability to induce defence gene expression by means of RT-qPCR and SAR by inoculationtest. After removing toxins and other low molecular metabolites by dialysis, the medium wasconcentrated and subsequently subjected to fractionation by ionex chromatography. Separatedfractions inducing PR1 expression were digested by trypsin. Tryptic hydrolysates lost their PR1-inducing activity, which indicates a protein nature of the efficient elicitors.
