Evaluating the effect of slow releasing polymer coated urea on growth and yield of maize

Abstract: Polymer coated fertilizers can improve nitrogen use efficiency of maize crop by slow release of nitrogen from coated urea. Slow release fertilizers reduce the leaching and volatilization losses of nitrogen and ensure its availability to the plant which not only improve the growth but also reduce environmental issues.
