Host origin important for infectivity and aggressiveness ofColletotrichum acutatum on strawberry

Abstract: Isolates of Colletotrichum acutatum from three different phylogenetic groups wereinoculated on vegetative and generative plant material of strawberry, in laboratory, greenhouseand field. Isolates originating from strawberry (Fragaria group) were much more aggressive onstrawberry than isolates from the Malus or Prunus groups.
