Linking transcriptomics to the rhizosphere microbiome – interactions during clubroot development as a case study

Abstract: Symptomless roots of clubroot infected plants show a higher expression of pathogen recognition genes than roots from uninfected plants collected in the field. Pathogen recognition genes are heavily downregulated during disease development. The role of the root microbiome is discussed.
