Abstract: Phytosanitary importance of spider mites (Tetranychidae) is highlighted by theiracceptance in quarantine pest lists of different countries. Based on the data of pest risk analysisof spider mites, the main pathways for these organisms have been pointed out: plants forplanting, plants in pots and host plant fruits. The article considers the importance of usingbiological control agents and the related issues such as evaluating the pest risk of new speciesintroduction and using this product.
