Research on oilseed rape diseases in Göttingen – highlights from more than twenty years

 5.00

Abstract: Research into oilseed rape has a long tradition at the University of Göttingen. This
lecture attempts to summarize the highlights of phytopathological research in this crop, but also briefly touches other research fields of our division. In particular, our research activities since 2000 will be considered. Those have focussed on classical, novel and still relevant pathogens such as Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Leptosphaeria maculans and Plasmodiophora brassicae. Emphasis will be put on the relatively novel oilseed rape pathogen Verticillium longisporum, which has been the major subject in our research in the past twenty years.
