Abstract: The cabbage stem flea beetle (CSFB) is an economically important pest of oilseed
rape in the UK. Under laboratory conditions, we tested entomopathogens, fatty acids and
a botanical insecticide; as positive and negative controls, we tested the pyrethroid lambdacyhalothrin, and water. Efficacy was determined by recording adult CSFB mortality.
Entomopathogenic nematodes and fatty acids were the most promising products tested.
