Abstract: The study took place in the Tlemcen National Park (West Algeria). It aimed atcharacterizing the structure of different cork-oak stands damaged by fire in 2004. Threeparameters were recorded (tree species composition, density and diameter class distribution) in 17plots of 10 ares each. Four structure groups resulting from intense and repeated disturbances ofthe forest were recognized. Various actions for the reconstitution of the vegetation cover andsilvicultural interventions for the rehabilitation of cork-oak stands are proposed in relation tostand structure.
