Abstract: Our research focused on the phenology of Scaphoideus titanus in the Veneto region, North-eastern Italy. This pest is the key vector transmitting the phytoplasma associated with Flavescence dorée, a serious grapevine disease. We examined the phenology of S. titanus across diverse environmental settings over two growing seasons. Our study encompassed a range of sites, spanning altitudes from sea level up to 562 meters above sea level. Additionally, we conducted a thorough evaluation of the reliability and accuracy of existing phenological predictive models, namely TipTitanus and vite.net®, in forecasting the developmental stages of this pest.
