The IOBC-WPRS WG on Integrated Control in Protected CropsMediterranean Climate – 35 years since its foundation

Abstract: In 1983 the Council of the IOBC-WPRS decided to create a new group that, incooperation with the already existing group on IC in glasshouse crops, could gatherresearchers and implementers working in protected crops in northern and southernMediterranean areas. Since then, 15 meetings have been held and the corresponding bulletinshave been published with about 600 contributions. Topics on which WG members have beenworking have evolved along the 35 years of history, showing a strict correspondance withnew needs and new scientific progress of the sector. The group is aware of the challenges andthreats of greenhouse industry in our Mediterranean regions and tries to respond in anefficient way.
