Abstract: Grapevine and weeds share partially microbiome components when grown in the same soil, particularly in the rhizosphere. A much higher degree of specificity was encountered when comparing microbiomes in the root interior. In the rhizosphere, weed microbiomes showed a higher species richness, and generally perennial plants hosted more diverse microbiomes.
