The 10th meeting of the IOBC-WPRS WG “Landscape Management for Functional Biodiversity” will bring together the latest advances in research, development, and application of landscape management for functional biodiversity, exchanging information, coordinating common research, and identifying areas for future research.
There will be a focus on comparing approaches to the management and monitoring of biodiversity in perennial (orchards) and herbaceous (arable or vegetable) cropping systems.
Contributions that share knowledge and experiences for specific groups of organisms and/or cropping systems are welcome.
Two parallel field trips will be organised to allow you to visit either the olive groves on the Pisa Mountain or the experimental research farm for agro-environmental research of the University of Pisa which is situated near the seaside and surrounded by pine tree and mixed woodland. Biodiversity sampling methods will be demonstrated and discussed in relation to the local landscape context.
