Abstract: Infestations by Thrips parvispinus Karny are increasingly being reported in
ornamental greenhouses, specifically on Anthurium, Ficus, Hoya, Gardenia, Mandevilla,
Spathiphyllum, and Schefflera. In this study, we provide an overview of trials performed with
predatory mites at laboratorium and semi-field level, as well as recent field observations
conducted in the Netherlands regarding T. parvispinus.
