Molecular mechanisms of chemical immune priming without costs to plant growth

Abstract: A targeted screen of structural analogues of the immune priming agent (R)-β-aminobutyric acid revealed a novel resistance-inducing compound, (R)-β-homoserine (RBH). To identify the mode of plant perception of RBH, we are screening a large collection of confirmed homozygous T-DNA insertion lines for loss of RBH-induced resistance in Arabidopsis.
