Abstract: An in vitro method enabling to inoculate tomato roots with Fusarium oxysporum 47and 48h later with Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici 8 was developed. Results show thatcolonization of tomato roots by Fo47 is able to induce a primed state of roots, which results in ahigher expression level of defence-related genes (GluA, Chi3, PR1a) upon pathogenicF. oxysporum attack.
