Abstract: Callose deposition is a likely mechanism of defence mediating MIR. AM plants showed a priming profile of callose deposition due to a more activated carbohydrate metabolism which enhance sugar homeostasis in these plants. SNARE-mediated vesicular trafficking also play a key role in the callose deposition pathway.
