Abstract: Soil drenching seedlings with β-aminobutyric acid (BABA) induced post-harvest resistance in tomato fruit against Botrytis cinerea. Yield was not reduced, but fruit ripening was delayed and metabolomic differences in fruit were found. Also, traces of BABA were identified in the fruit. Abscisic acid (ABA) has a complex role in the BABA-induced resistance phenotype.
