Abstract: Copper (Cu) concentration in plant tissues increases with increasing Cu concentration in nutrient solution being the root the main target (both simplast and apoplast). Intercropping with oat decreases the Cu concentration in grapevine plants indicating that the use of cover crops represents a promising tool to alleviate Cu toxicity in grapevines.
